Delray Beach Fashion Week Recap
Delray Beach Fashion Week is by far one of my favorite local events in the year here in Delray Beach. It is a fashion show that takes over our downtown and Models, Salons, Shops & Designers all work together to put on a fabulous show! The best part is we raise money for the Achievement Centers for Children and Families!
This year I was able to host two events, design the VIP bags, show both of my brands: The House of Perna & Neon Bohemians and even the students I teach fashion to were able to show.
WEDNESDAY, JAN. 23 The week kicked off with the Fashion Royale Evening Wear Runway Fashion Show on Wed. Jan. 23 on Atlantic Avenue in front of The Colony Hotel & Cabana. The night featured evening wear collections from 20 Downtown boutiques, along with live performances from The Edge Effect A-Capella group and the ACCF Elegant Emeralds dance group with a Beauty Bar featuring local salons and sponsors and VIP lounge activation from IPIC.
Here is a pic of my co-hosts for the first night and I:
We had a blast welcoming women into our studio to shop!
THURSDAY, JAN 24 For the first time, Fashion Week included an in-store shopping opportunity: For Your Eyes Only, Shop the Runway In-Store Shopping Event. This was a day designed to directly bring attendees face-to-face with the retailers and fashions featured in Fashion Week. Over 20 retailers participated and the event included, shuttle transportation, raffle prizes, a welcome reception at Brulé Bistro and closing reception at Papa’s Tapas.
FRIDAY, JAN. 25 The most coveted event during Fashion Week year after year was once again a huge success. Fashion is Forever Resort wear Luncheon and Fashion Show was held at Che!!! Restaurant and included sponsor activation, 70 models, 30+ silent auction items and 150 raving attendees!
